KOZIKOWSKI, Margaret Klara - Peacefully, in hospital at Almonte, with her family at her side, on Saturday, December 4, 1999. Klara Vellinga of Almonte, age 80 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Paul Kozikowski. Beloved mother of George (Judy) of Kelowna, B.C., Dorothe Cazabon (Keith Fraser) and Margaret Kozikowski (Mohammed) both of Calgary and Mrs. Anni Schlabbers (Jakob) of Germany. Survived by 3 sisters in Germany. Loved grandma of Kimberly, Cindy, Lisa, George, Ralph and Uwe. Also survived by 9 great-grandchildren. Friends called at the C.R. SWEENEY - The family of Carman Sweeney celebrate his life. This date, Wednesday, December 22, 1999, witnessed the passing of a kind and gentle father. Carman (Jim) Sweeney entered this world on Sunday, September 14, 1919 in the Township of Darling. He served his country during W.W. II and returned to Lanark County to live, marry and raise a family. Carman spent his working career in a profession he loved. Examples of his carpentry work are found throughout many homes and businesses within the county. He had a passion for knowledge and a love of nature. Carman will be greatly missed by his son Jim “Jimmy” Sweeney and daughters Beth “Betty Ann” Sweeney, Gwen “Gongie” Dunn and Barabara “Barb” Burden. Cherished grandfather of Steven, Joey, Brent, Jenny, Chris, and Shawn. Survived by his brother Oscar of Carleton Place and Bill of Princeton, B.C. and his sisters Eva Sweeney of Ottawa and Verna Hedricks of Edmonton, Alberta. Friends called at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place. A private family Funeral Service was held on Friday. Cremation followed. Donations to Almonte Country Haven would be appreciated.

JOHNSON, Regna Lucien "Ray" (Retired Foreman, Town of Almonte) Peacefully, in hospital at Ottawa, with his family at his side, on Tuesday, December 14, 1999. "Ray" Johnson of Almonte, age 75 years. Beloved husband of Ethel Command. Much loved father of Donna Marie (Mrs. Dennis Donahue) of Almonte. Step-dad of Jean Smithson (George Tosh) of Almonte, Ruth Shane (Lionel) of Duncan, B.C. and Pat Spinks of Edmonton, Alberta. Brother of Violet, Lila, Neiland, Eldon, Eleanor and Lola. Predeceased by 1 sister, Leona and 2 brothers Vernal and Orvin. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great­grandchildren. Friends called at the C.R. WARK, Jeanette - Peacefully, at home with her family on Monday, December 13 1999. Jeanette Yuill of Clayton, age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late James Wark. Dear mother of Mrs. Annie Rintoul and Delmer (Rolande) of Clayton. Predeceased by her infant son, Delbert. Dearly loved mother of Harvey (Joan) of Carp, Laurie (Joyce) of Lanark, Bryan (Irene) and Dorothy Borrowman (Philip) both of Middleville and Wenda Wheeler (Doug) of Snow Road. Predeceased by her 2 daughters Ruth and Lena. Sister of Mrs. Lena Weir (Lyle), Alex (Eva) and Charlie. Predeceased by a grandson Brad and a granddaughter Sherry-Lynn and by 2 sisters Mrs. Edna Mains and Ethel. John D Byrne of Almonte, age 77 years. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Beatrice Bolton.
