Gary William Mitchell

Gary William Mitchell died at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on July 1, 1986 he was 23. He received his education at Naismith Memorial Public School and Almonte high school. He worked at Nilan Construction, Greenlawn landscaping and Collie Woollen Mills where he was employed when he was taken ill with leukemia, and was disabled until his death. He is survived by wife Linda, daughters Melissa, 3, and Ashley. He is also survived by his parents Lionel and Elsie, also sisters, Jean Linda and Anne, grandparents Bill and Myrtle Drynan, and Ethel Mitchell. He rested at the Kerry Funeral Home in Almonte and interment at Clayton United Cemetery with Rev Harper officiating. Donations were made to the Canadian cancer Foundation. Pallbearers were Clarence Fulton, Brent Metcalfe, Scott Mitchell, Randy Mitchell, Steven Nichols and Stephen Folkard.

Quietly into rest on Wednesday, April 24, 1985, after a long and courageous fight Fern Shirley Dodds of Bell's corners in her 54th year. Beloved wife of Robert Watts. CLIFFORD FULTON

The death of Mr. Clifford Reid Fulton took place in Almonte General Hospital on Wednesday, June 25, 1975, after a lengthy illness. He was in his 77th year. Mr. Fulton, the son of the late Robert Fulton and the late Margaret Reid, was born in 1899 in Pakenham, where he was educated. A resident of 28 Euphemia Street in Almonte, he was a carpenter by trade, and a member of the Almonte United Church. He married the former Violet Dickson, who survives him, in Almonte, in June, 1929. He is also survived by one brother, Thomas, of Almonte, and sisters Edith, (Mrs. Grant McDougall) Almonte; Effie (Mrs. Tom Graham), Carleton Place Edna, (Mrs. Don Snedden) Perth and Mrs. Mary Sayyeau, Almonte. The funeral was held from the Comba Funeral Home, Almonte, on Friday, June 27, at 2 o'clock, with burial at Union Cemetery, Pakenham. The service was conducted by Rev. Robt. J. McCrea of the Almonte United Church. Pallbearers were Fred Taylor, John Morton, Art Fulton, Harry Deugo, Thomas Graham, and Grant McDougall.

WILLIAM GRAYDON ARNOTT

William Graydon Arnott passed away on Monday, September 23, 1974, in Almonte General Hospital after a brief illness. Born at Rosetta on February 16, 1905, he was the son of the late Andrew Arnott and Isabella Jamieson, and spent all his life farming in that area. For the last fifteen years he was a dedicated member of Lanark Township Council and represented this township on the board of Carlan Lodge in which he had a great interest. He is survived by one brother, Harold of Rosetta and predeceased by a brother James and a sister Annie. Funeral services were held at Young's' Funeral Home on September 25, Dr. Gordon C. Smyth officiating, with burial in Rosetta cemetery. The Pallbearers were six neighbours, Bert Thompson, Eldon Ireton, Neil McIntosh, Ronald Thompson, Carl McIntosh and Gerald Tennant. Flowers and contributions to the Bible Society, Heart Foundation, Crippled Children and Carlan Lodge were received.
