WILLIAM JAMES MUNRO

The death of William James Munro occurred suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, August 28th, 1979. At the time of his death Mr. Munro, a bachelor, resided at Hotel Almonte. He was in his 72nd year. Born October 17, 1907 in Darling Township, Mr. Munro was the son of the late John A. Munro and his wife, the late Elizabeth Young, both residents of Hall's Mills. He received his education at the Hall's Mills school and attended Guthrie United Church at Clayton. He is survived by five brothers; Harold, of Clayton; Clifford and John, both of Almonte; Andrew, Perth; Hugh of Pembroke; and one sister, Effie (Mrs. Archie Stewart), of Balderson. He was predeceased by Gilbert, Charlie and Mary. Funeral services for Mr. Munro were held at the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home, 127 Church Street, Almonte, on Thursday, August 30th, 1979 at 2 p.m. Interment was at Clayton United Cemetery. Pallbearers were all nephews of the deceased; Jack Munro, Bert Munro, Gary Munro, Merv Munro, Basil Munro and James Foster.

MRS. JAMES HAMMOND

The death of Mrs. James Eric Hammond of 12 Charlotte Street, Carleton Place and formerly of Innisville occurred on Saturday June 16th, 1979, at the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital, after an illness of one and one-half years. She was 75. The former Viola May McIntyre, she was born at Clayton, on December 10, 1905, a daughter of the late William A. McIntyre and his wife, Mary N. Paul. She received her education at Clayton. Mr. and Mrs. Hammond who were married at Carleton Place and farmed after their marriage at Innisville. Mr. Hammond predeceased her in December, 1977. She was a member of the United church at Boyd's. Mrs. Hammond is survived by one sister, Florence H. (Mrs. Gordon Patterson) of Carleton Place, and is predeceased by a sister, Wilhelmine Bassett. The funeral took place in the chapel of the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, on Tuesday, June 19, at 3 p.m., with Rev. Wesley Mitchell officiating. Burial took place at Clayton United Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Robertson, Keith McNicol, William Bellamy, Roy White, Lorne Wood and Lloyd Allan.

ROBERTSON - in hospital, Carleton Place, Ontario, on Thursday, September 12th, 1985. Earl John Robertson. Beloved husband of Irene Mary Murray, dear father of Shirley (Mrs. Mel Fee), Ashton; Marlene (Mrs. Alan Pretty), Almonte; Beverley (Mrs. Ken Jackson), RR 1, Perth and Donald of Kitchener. Dear brother of Viola (Mrs. Bill Thompson), Perth; Erma (Mrs. Warren Foss), Brockville; Howard and Floyd of Trenton. Predeceased by three brothers Norman, Edward and Ode and one sister Nettie (Mrs. Richard Andrews). Also survived by 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren, in his 78th year. Friends called at the Kerry Funeral Home, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte, for visiting on Friday afternoon from 2-5 p.m. and evening from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held in the Funeral Home on Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. Robert Hill officiating. Interment Clayton United Cemetery, Clayton, 0ntario.
MELVILLE GRANT GUNN

The death of Melville Grant Gunn occurred on January 8th. 1976, at the Almonte General Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Gunn was born in Tatlock, Dec. 5th, 1899, the son of the late George Gunn and his wife Christena McAllister. His young life was spent at Tatlock and a number of years farming at Arlee, Saskatchewan. The last fifty years were spent farming near Clayton. He was a very faithful member of the United Church at Clayton. He married the former Annie Mae Currie January 7th, 1925, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ronald at home, Arnold of Almonte, and one daughter Irene (Mrs. Edgar Ritchie) of Cedar Hill. Two granddaughters, Marilyn (Mrs. Mel Cavanagh) of Kinburn and Katherine Ritchie, two brothers, Stuart of Winchester and Bert of Bradford. He was predeceased by full brothers Loyal of Tatlock and Ernest of Battleford, Saskatchewan, and by half brothers George, Alec, Dan and Jim, and half sisters Janet (Mrs. Wm. Rintoul), Bella (Mrs. Wm. McDonald), Maggie (Mrs. Walter Kingston), Kate (Mrs. Charles More) and Zelda (Mrs. James Ring). The funeral was held from the Kerry Funeral Home, Almonte, on January 10th, 1976, to the United Church Cemetery, Clayton. Rev. Gordon C. Smyth officiated. Pallbearers were four neighbours, Howard Bolger, William Bolger, George Stewart and Wilbert Patterson and two nephews, John T. Currie and Arnold Rintoul.

LILA MAY GUTHRIE

In failing health for the past few years, Lila May (Caldwell) Guthrie, beloved wife of the late James A. Guthrie, passed away in Carleton Place hospital Friday, August 24, 1979, in her 81st year. Born in Darling Township on ,June 13th, 1899, she was the daughter of Oliver Caldwell and Caroline Lee. She attended school in Hall's Mills and Tatlock. Following her marriage in Ottawa, February 23, 1917, they lived in Tatlock until 1943, then moved to Drummond Township where she resided until her death. She was a member of St. Peter's Church, Tatlock, later St. Andrew's Church, Lanark, a member of Lanark Senior Citizens, and a faithful Institute member. Mrs. Guthrie was a very devoted woman to her family, friends and neighbours and was always willing to lend a helping hand over the years when needed. She will be sadly missed by her six children and grandchildren; Muriel, Mrs. Clarence Craig, Sudbury; Blanche, Mrs. Harry Gale Ottawa; Betty, Mrs. Bill Green, Ottawa; Archie of Tatlock and Glen and Floyd of Drummond. Also surviving is one brother, Dave of Almonte and one sister, Carrie (Mrs. T. Murray) of Edmonton. Funeral services were conducted at the Young Funeral Home, Lanark, Sunday, August 26, at 1 p.m. by Rev. Bowler. Interment was in Clayton United Cemetery. The pallbearers were grandsons, Bill and Wayne Guthrie, Gary Gale and Steven and Don Green and Maurice LeMay.

WILLIAM JAMES LOWE

As the old year ended, there also ended the life of Cedar Hill's oldest pioneer, William James Lowe, whose passing occurred at Fairview Manor, Almonte, on December 29th, 1977. He was 96 years of age. Jim, as he was known, was a highly respected citizen and neighbour. He worked hard and was always happiest when he felt he had completed an honest day's work and respected all others that did so. He was blessed with a remarkable memory so he was a real source of history to listen to. He never lost interest in people or happenings around him. But the years took their toll and Jim grew weak and frail. On December 29 his Master called him to his everlasting peace and rest. Jim has left precious memories of a good life lived not only for himself but for others as I well. Born at Cedar Hill on March 5th. 1881, Jim was the son of the late James Lowe and his wife, the late Amelia Morphy. He attended S.S. No.8, Cedar Hill and later went into the business of farming which he pursued all through his working years until his retirement a few years ago. He was a member of the United Church of Canada. On March 15, 1910, he was married at Union Hall to the former Annabelle Kirk who predeceased him. On the 26th of June, 1943, at Almonte he married the former Sarah Ritchie Nontell, also predeceased. Left to mourn his loss is a step-daughter, Irene (Mrs. Elmer Goodfellow) Almonte; three sons, Arthur and Russell of Cedar Hill and Herbert of Braeside; three daughters, Mabel (Mrs. William Barr), Almonte, Amelia (Mrs. Harvey Wagner) Smiths Falls, and Margaret (Mrs. Osler Steen), Bells Corners. A sister, Lila (Mrs. William Scott) predeceased him. Funeral services for Mr. Lowe were held at the Gamble and Comba Funeral Home, Church Street, Almonte, on December 31st, 1977 at 2 p.m. Rev. Cecil Dodds, of Pakenham officiated at services held at the funeral home and at Auld Kirk Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons Frederick, William and Donald Lowe and James Steen; a cousin, Arthur Morphy and a neighbour, Edgar Ritchie Honorary pallbearers were Leonard Fulton, James Giles, Gordon Boal, William Lawson, Clifford Smith and William Bolger.

MAE EVA RITCHIE

The death of Mrs. Mae Eva (Monterville) Ritchie, widow of the late Samuel Henry Ritchie, occurred at the Almonte hospital, on Wednesday, April 19, 1978, following a brief illness. Mrs. Ritchie, who was in her 95th year, was a resident of Fairview Manor. Born in Shawville, Que., on September 6, 1883, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Monterville. She was a member of Almonte Baptist Church. Mrs. Ritchie is survived by two sons, Howard S. Ritchie of Stratford, Ont., and Harold E. Ritchie of Nairn Centre, Ont., a sister, Hattie (Mrs. T. J. White) of Paxton, Illinois; and grandchildren, David E. Ritchie and Mrs. Ann P. Brockson. She was predeceased by a son, Lorne E. Ritchie; a daughter, Hazel I. Ritchie (Mrs. John Livingston); three brothers, Wilbert, Samuel and George Monterville, and a sister, Nina (Mrs. G. Hirons). The funeral was held from the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on April 22, with interment at Auld Kirk Cemetery, Rev. Gordon Lanctot officiating. The pallbearers were John Elliott, Dawson MacDowall, Paul MacDowall, Lloyd Simpson, Eric Simpson and Murray Guthrie.

MRS. THOMAS BENFORD

The death of Mrs. Thomas Benford, the former Lena Lillian Bolger of Clayton, and dear wife of Thomas Benford of 80 Linwood Street, London, Ontario, occurred at Western University Hospital on Thursday, November 30, 1978 following an illness of two months, at the age of 60 years. Mrs. Benford is survived by her husband and two children, Allan of Oshawa; Charlene (Mrs. Gus Miller) of Sussex, New Brunswick; five brothers, Beven T. and Kenneth R. of St. Catharines, Willie B. and Howard C. of Clayton and Herbert G. Of Almonte; also three sisters, Annie C. (Mrs. Harvey Paterson) of Almonte, Pearl M. (Mrs. Wm. Pritchard) of Brockville and Olive M. (Mrs. Melvin Foster) of Almonte. The funeral was held from the Chapel of the Needham Funeral Home, Dundas Street, London, at 11 a.m. on December 2nd, 1978, with Rev. Wilson L. Morden officiating. Interment was at Woodland Cemetery, London.

Interment St Mark's Anglican Cemetery, Pakenham.
GILMOUR- In hospital, Ottawa, Ontario, on Saturday, February 2, 1980, William John (Jack) Gilmour. Beloved son of the late Jean McClymont and the late William Gilmour; dear brother of Mary (Mrs. Stan Barry), Arnprior; Rae (Mrs. Jack Smithson), Almonte; Wayne Gilmour, Munster Hamlet and Brian Ferrill, Toronto. In his 53rd year. Rested at the Kerry Funeral Home on Monday from 10 a.m. Funeral service in the funeral home on Monday at 2 p.m., Rev. Robert Hill officiating. Cremation Pinecrest Crematorium, Ottawa.
HAROLD JAMES

The death of Thomas Harold James occurred suddenly at his home on the 12th concession of Lanark township on Saturday, January 6, 1979. He was 50. Born in Almonte, September 17, 1928, he was a son of the late Edwin McNeely James and his wife, Mary Haley. He received his education at James' School (S.S. No. 12 Lanark Township) and the Carleton Place High School. He spent his lifetime on the farm in the James Settlement where his great, great grandfather settled in 1821. Mr. James was a member of St. John's Lodge A.F.& A.M., and Maple Chapter, Royal Arch Masons, Carleton Place, and St. George's Anglican Church, Clayton. He was married at Newmarket, Ontario, on May 27, 1961, to the former Nancy Edith Sinclair, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Toni, 16 and Richard, 9; two daughters, Nancy, 15, and Linda 10, at home, and two sisters, Christena Helen (Mrs. Ivan Gardiner) and Mary Haley (Mrs. Lloyd Wilson). The funeral was held from the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, Carleton Place, on Monday, January 9th, to St. George's Church, Clayton, for service at 2 p.m., Rev. Roger Young officiating. The body was placed in the United Cemetery vault to await spring burial at St. George's Cemetery. Pallbearers were cousins Ronald Conch, Henry, Stanley, Benjamin James and William H. James and neighbors, William Halpenny and Allan McIntosh.

Effie Fulton

Effie Lauren (Miller) Fulton, of Kinburn, died August 12, at Almonte General Hospital. She was 84. Mrs. Fulton was born June 12 in Pakenham Township, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Miller, of Cedar Hill. She was educated in Cedar Hill. Mrs. Fulton was a member of St Andrew's United Church. She was married on June 21, 1916 to the late Robert S. Fulton in Pakenham. She is survived by her son Howard A Fulton, of Pakenham and her daughter, Margaret L. Hill, of Kinburn. Mrs. Fulton rested at Gamble & Comba Funeral Home and was buried in Pakenham United Church Cemetery. Reverend C Dodds officiated the service. Pallbearers were Tom Hill, Harvey Hill, Jim Fulton, Billy Fulton, David Fulton and Clarence Fulton.

COCHRANE, Thomas Elwood (Veteran of W.W. I and Life Member of Almonte Branch 240 Royal Canadian Legion). In hospital in Almonte, on Sunday, March 9, 1980, Thomas Elwood (Tom) Cochrane of Almonte. In his 85th year. Beloved husband of Georgina Berry and dear brother of Mrs. Eva Ryder of Cornwall. Predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. Rested at the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home, 127 Church Street, Almonte. Service was held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Ed Smith officiating. Spring interment Clayton United Cemetery.
Catherine Edna Lowry dies

Longtime Ramsay resident, active historian and collector of poems, Catherine Edna Gardner Lowry of RR 3 Almonte died at the Almonte General Hospital in her 90th year Saturday, Jan 19, 1985. Mrs. Lowry was born on the eighth line of Ramsay township, and was educated at SS 10 at Bennie's Corners and Almonte High School. She spent all her life in Ramsay area and taught at several local schools before marrying. Mrs. Lowry worked for the United Farm Women of Ontario while bringing up a family and was curator for the Ramsay Women's Institute and a charter member of the North Lanark Historical Society. She spearheaded a move to erect a plaque to the inventor of basketball, James Naismith at Bennie's Corners. She recently published "Lanark Reflections" in which she edited a collection of Lanark county poetry. She wrote this poem about a friend in 1914;

We know her by her gentle air

Her hair of queenly grace

Her bright dark eyes and curly hair

And pleasant smiling face.

Her rippling laughter clear and shrill

That now and then may yet be heard

That echoes softly from yonder hill

Like the lilting song of a sweet voiced bird.

But now we hear she is going to leave

Yes Elva's going away

It matters little how we grieve

We cannot make her stay.

She was the daughter of the late William Gardner and Isabella McInnis, and wife of David Hollie Lowry, and mother of William of Toronto, Gordon Of Ottawa, Robert (Bert), Donald, James and David, all of RR 3 Almonte. She is survived by her sisters Ethel Bellamy of Brockville, and Dorothy Delaurier, of RR 1 Almonte and 20 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Stanley, Earl, Roy and Lorne. Service was held at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Spring interment at the Auld Kirk cemetery, Almonte. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Alan R Barker Funeral Home, Carleton Place.

Annie Rath

The funeral of the late Annie Rath, wife of the late Clifford Stanley took place ,on Wednesday Jan 9, 1985 at the Kerry Funeral Home, Almonte. Rev. R. J. Way of St George's church Clayton officiating. Interment in St George's cemetery in the spring. The late Mrs. Stanley was born June 12th, 1893 in Ramsay township, daughter Of the late Alex Rath and his wife the late Elizabeth Paul. She attended Clayton school and St. George's Anglican church. She was married at Clayton Dec 24, 1912 to Clifford W. Stanley of Cedar Hill where they lived a few years then returned to Clayton. She is survived by one daughter, Isabel (Mrs. Gordon Drynan) and a son Keith both of Almonte. She was predeceased by a son William who was killed in action in World War 11 in France. She was a Silver Cross Mother. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, Glen, Gregory, and Lisa Stanley, Keith, Leonard, Brian, Robert and Carl Drynan; Elizabeth (Mrs. J. Gleeson), Marian (Mrs. K. Thompson), Dorothy (Mrs. M. Killeen), Linda (Mrs. D. Lee) and Shirley (Mrs. D. Neron). Twenty nine great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. The pallbearers were six grandsons Glen and Gregory Stanley, Keith, Leonard, Brian and Carl Drynan.

Everett Murray

Everett William Murray of 54 Norma Street, Arnprior, died on July 5 at his residence. He was 52 years of age. Mr. Murray was born on March 27, 1929 in Clayton where he attended Clayton area school. He was the son of the late Michael Murray and Annie Wark. Everett Murray is survived by his wife Doris Howie; sons Terry and Wayne at home; daughters Heather (Mrs. Ronald Swant) of Edmonton, Wendy also of Edmonton and Julie at home; sisters Stella (Mrs. Keith Blakeley) of Almonte, Madeline (Mrs. Keith Stanley) of Almonte, Mary (Mrs. Gordon Robinson) from Arnprior, Mrs. Alice Bruce of Arnprior and Anita from Calgary; as well as five grandchildren. He rested at the Boyce Funeral Home where a service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7 in the Chapel. Reverend Leo Hughes officiated. Interment was in Malloch Road Cemetery. The pallbearers were Armer Howie, Keith Blakeley, Ross McInness, Leo Hammond, Tom Gavinski and Francis Lamorie.

RICHARDS, Caroline - In hospital, Carleton Place, Thursday, January 13, 1972. Caroline Stanley, in her 89th year, wife of the late Charles Dunlop by first marriage and the late Mack Richards by second marriage, mother of Wilhelmena (Mrs. Gordon James), Carleton Place and Caroline (Mrs. Kenneth Hudson), Clayton, sister of Mrs. William Ritchie (Jessie), and Clifford Stanley, Almonte. Rested at Fleming bros. Funeral Home, Lake Avenue West, Carleton Place. Service was held Saturday, January 15, 1:30 p.m. Interment St. George's cemetery, Clayton.
HALPENNY, Kathleen Jean - At Toronto on Friday, August 12, 1966, Kathleen Jean Stewart, wife of the late Wilfred Halpenny, beloved daughter of Mrs. S. H. Lansdowne, and the late William Stewart. Resting at the Blair Funeral Home, Perth, Ont. Service was held at St. George's Anglican Church, Clayton, Ont., on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment Clayton Cemetery.
MRS. J. M. RICHARDS

The death occurred in hospital at Carleton Place, Ontario, on January 13, 1972, of Caroline Stanley, daughter of the late Edward Stanley and Elizabeth Whalen. She was in her 89th year. Born at Cedar Hill, Ontario, in 1883, she was married December 30th, 1914, at St. Paul's Church, Almonte, to Charles Norman Dunlop, of Grand Prairie, Alberta. When he passed away sudden in 1921, she returned with her two daughters, to Clayton, Ontario. In 1923, she married John McMunn (Mack) Richards. They farmed near Clayton until Mr. Richards' death in September 1951. She was a member of St. George's Church, Clayton. For the past 20 years she resided in Carleton Place and attended St. James Church. She is survived by two daughters, Wilhelmena (Mrs. Gordon James), R.R. 1. Carleton Place and Caroline (Mrs. Kenneth Hudson) R.R. 2, Clayton; four grandchildren and four great grand children. Also survived by one sister, Jessie (Mrs. William Ritchie), Union Hall, and one brother, Clifford Stanley, of Perth. Predeceased by sisters Jane Ann (Mrs. William Drynan), Ellen (Mrs. Thomas Jackson), Elizabeth, (Mrs. Emerson Dean), and by brothers William and Edmund Stanley. The funeral was held from the Fleming Bros. Funeral Home, Carleton Place, on January 15, with Archdeacon J. A. Salter and Rev. H. Brown officiating. Burial was in St. George's Cemetery, Clayton. Pallbearers were two grandsons, Gary Hudson and Charles James and nephews, Edgar Drynan, Keith Stanley, Norman Dunlop and Arnold Jackson.

Dorothy McMunn

Dorothy Yvonne (Murphy) McMunn, 84 Arthur St, Arnprior, died Sept 11 at Ottawa Civic Hospital. She was 57. Mrs. McMunn was born Oct 31, 1922 in Toronto, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Murphy. She was predeceased by her husband Walter McMunn. Mrs. McMunn was a housewife and a member of Emmanuel Church. She is survived by two daughters Susan of Arnprior and Judith (Mrs. Dawson Granzie) of Palmer Rapids and one son, David of Arnprior. She is also survived by two sisters Hazel Price and Lorraine (Mrs. Eric Kettlewell) both of Toronto. Also surviving are two grandchildren. She rested at Boyce Funeral Home until Sept 15 when Rev. Allen Box conducted a service. Burial was in Pakenham Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Authers, Brent Price, James Rath, Reg Brohart, Kevin Borutski and Ronald McMunn. Honorary pallbearers were Allan Simpson and Willard Bahm.

Mary Ellen Currie

The death occurred at the Almonte General hospital on Jan 20, 1981 of Mary Ellen (Munro) Currie after several weeks illness. She was born at Galbraith on Apr 19, 1897 daughter of the late John Henry Munro and his wife the former Margaret Ellen Manary. She grew up and received her education there until her marriage to John Keating Currie on Sept 20, 1916 when she moved to Clayton to live. Mary was a member of Clayton United Church, very active with the Women's Institute and the UCW and Community affairs until she moved to Blakeney in Nov. 1965 where she lived with her daughter Lois and family. She is survived by seven members of her family. John (Pakenham), Stuart and Merrill (Sudbury), Venneita (Almonte), Carl (Almonte), plus twenty grandchildren, fifteen great grand children, one sister Viola (Mrs. Dan Craig) Carleton Place, one brother, Clifford, (Dewitts Corners) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, brothers Isaac, Daniel, William and sister Edna (Mrs. Ernest Munro) and Glady (Mrs. Everrett Closs). The funeral was held from the Kerry Funeral Home Friday Jan 23, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jack Lougheed officiating. The pallbearers were four nephews, Pete Munro, George Currie, Don Currie, Ronald Gunn and two friends Charles Rath and Ross Comerford. The many floral offerings and donations showed the esteem in which Mary was held.

JOHN ROBERT DRYNAN

John Robert Drynan entered into rest Saturday, Aug. 5 (1961) after a lengthy illness at Almonte General Hospital in his 83rd year. He was a son of the late James Drynan and his wife Kathrine Kilgore. Born in Pakenham Township in 1879, he spent most of his life in Clayton district, held offices in many community activities and was always ready to lend a helping hand. In 1904 he was united in marriage to Ellen Jane Cochran who survives also two sons, Gordon and Orville both of Almonte. Of a family of eleven only four survive namely George of London, Ont., Alex, Sunnydale, Sask., Violet (Mrs. Sd. Bryon) Windsor and Mary (Mrs. J. Kirk) Almonte. There are fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral was held Tuesday, Aug. 8 from the home of his son Gordon Drynan to Guthrie United Church, Clayton, thence to the United Cemetery. Armstrong of Newberry, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cox, Belleville, Mr. and Mrs. George Cox, Ottawa. The Pallbearers were George Bolger, Alex Virgin, Clifford Stanley, Wm. Drynan, Edgar Hudson, ,neighbours and Leonard Shane a nephew of Gananoque. Flower bearers were Keith, Leonard, Brian and Robert Drynan, grandsons, Keith Thompson and James Gleason.

Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. In her 96th year. Rested at the Kerry Funeral Home, 154 Elgin St., Almonte. Thence leaving the Funeral Home on Saturday at 1.35 p.m. for funeral Service in Clayton United Church at 2.00 p.m. Rev. James White, officiating. Interment Clayton United Cemetery.

At Cornwall on Monday, July 29, 1985, Eva Jenette (Cochrane) Ryder of Morrisburg, Ont., in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late John Ryder. Dear mother of Lois (Mrs. Arthur Edgerton) of Morrisburg, and William Ryder of Toronto. Grandmother of Kathryn (Mrs. Roscoe Morgan) of Foxboro, and great-grandmother to Alison and Heather. Predeceased by 12 brothers and sisters. Resting at the Fairbairn Funeral Home Ltd., 28 Church St., Morrisburg Ont., on Tuesday, July 30, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Interment at Fairview Cemetery to follow.
