| Jacob A. Cole is the grandson of John W. and Elisabeth {Painter} Cole buried in Fleetwood Cemetery. His father was John W. Cole and Nancy Jane Francis. This family migrated from Union TWP, Independence County, Arkansas, sometime after the 1880 census. John W. Cole and Mary Elisabeth Painter were married in Lincoln County, Tennessee, abt. 1851. They moved to Independence County, AR, 1859/1860. Their son Franklin Price Cole "Babe" born probably 1861 was my great-grandfather; he left Arkansas and went to Fannin County, Texas, instead. | Gene Kathryn (Cole) Johnson |
