Charles E. (Chuck) Wade , passed away Feb. 8, 2003, after an extended illness at Hearthstone Assisted Living Center. He was born to Mabel (Troutman) and Jess A. Wade , Sept. 23, 1925, in Springfield, OH, the youngest of six children.

Preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters & 2 brothers. Survived by sister, Mabel McKnight of Xenia, Ohio. Chuck served in the Naval Air Force during the Second World War in the South Pacific. Returned to Springfield, OH, where he worked for Sears before starting at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. Transferred to Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City in 1950. Later transferred to the FAA Center in OKC where he also served as president of the FAA Credit Union. Chuck loved to dance and be with people. Past president of Regency Dance Club and past president of the Young Men's Club. Because of his love of sports, he was a sports official for 45 years, first in Ohio and later in the OKC area. He was an avid OU supporter for 40 years. Chuck & Lois traveled rather extensively before and after his retirement. He took up stained glass as a hobby, volunteered selling ads for MWC Hospital, Ragtime Follies and the MWC Bomber Programs. Taught Sunday School and served on the Board of Wickline United Methodist in Midwest City. He and Lois moved northwest in 1990 where they joined the Church of the Servant.

Survived by his wife, Lois of 54 years; daughter, Kim & son-in-law, Jerry Shelton of Muskogee, their children, Melissa Million of Muskogee and Dr. Michael Shelton of Plano, TX; son, David and daughter-in-law, Barb Wade of Littleton, CO and their children, Nicholas and Tenisha; daughter, Denise Caram and sons, Drew and Dustin Caram of Midwest City; 6 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, February 11, 2003, at the Church of the Servant in Oklahoma City, at 2:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to either the Church of the Servant or Crossroads Hospice... Bill Eisenhour Southeast 5005 S. E. 29
