Widow of Early City Policeman ls Dead at 76

Mrs. Cynthia M. Ashburn, wife  of an early-day Oklahoma City policeman, died Monday in her home at 1516 NE 16 terrace. Services are pending Watts funeral home. Mrs. Ashburn, 76, had been in failing health several years. Born April 7, 1881, in Ohio, she came to Oklahoma around the turn of the century and in 1908 was married to Ike Ashburn in Oklahoma City.

Ashburn for many years was an officer on the Oklahoma City police force. He died here in 1928. Mrs. Ashburn had made her home with a son, Frank, an Oklahoma City fire department lieutenant. She belonged to Capitol Presbyterian church. Also surviving is a daughter, Eleanor, of the home; and a brother, Jeff Fee, Oklahoma City.
