C. B. Ames was on his way home Monday to find in death the peace he sought in life.

Meredity, N. H. will be conducted at 4 pm Wednesday from the family home, 401 Northwest Fourteenth street. Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery under direction of Street and Draper funeral home.

In Washington Monday A. Mitchell Palmer, attorney general f the United states under President Wilson, in commenting on the death of Ames saidzzzz:

Jude Ames's death is a distinct loss to his profession and to the public. He was one of the ablest and most powerful lawyers in the country. In spite of the demands on his time and strength by his practice, he gave his efforts when opportunity afforded to the service of his country.

Judge Ames of Lincoln, Neb., died last week, after a long illness. Judge Ames was one of the well known attorneys of Nebraska and for many years was a member of the supreme court commission.

9/9/1903 ~ Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Ames and family left yesterday for Stroud to attend the
wedding of Mrs. Ames' brother, Mr. Ben Allen, and Miss Bowman.
(9/10/1903)~ Miss Elizabeth Bowman and Mr. Benjamin Allen were married last evening at
Stroud, at the residence of the bride's father, Mr. Edward Bowman. Mr. and Mrs. C.B.
Ames and children of this city attended the wedding.

Among the out of town guests were Hon. C.B. Ames and Mrs. Ames of Oklahoma
City, and C.C. Christal and Mrs. Christal of Chandler.
Mr. Allen is a brother of Mrs. C.B. Ames of Oklahoma City.
