Our mother, Lyndall Morgan, was called home to Heaven on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. There to greet her was our father and her husband, Paul Morgan; parents, Joseph and Emma English ; brothers, Truman and Bryce English ; sister, Jackie Mayo; and many other family and friends who are rejoicing together with her now.

Left to miss her are sons, George and wife Julie of Tulsa, Bill and Pat Morgan of Choctaw, and Paul Jr. of the home; daughters, Jackie and husband Joe Shanafelt of Shawnee, KS, and Mary and husband Jimmy Spears of Del City. Also left to miss her are 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, four sisters and one brother, and many nieces, nephews and friends all over the United States.

Mom was born in McCullough, Alabama, and grew up on the family farm as the second oldest of nine children. She worked very hard, helping her mom with the younger ones, and was like a second mother to the youngest girls. After graduating from high school in 1945, she moved to New York City to work for Western Union. This was quite a move for our mother, the country girl. She eventually moved back to Alabama and worked in Mobile. While living at her aunt's boarding house, she met and married Paul F. Morgan in 1947, and they were together until his death in May 2002. They lived in Mobile, raising five children before moving to Midwest City in 1967. Mom enjoyed taking care of her family, her home, keeping her yard and gardens of flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed sharing her bounty with family and neighbors. She was a wonderful cook and a loving caregiver for different members of her family over the years.

Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior and wanted all whom she met to accept Jesus as their Savior also. We love and miss you mom. The family would like to thank all of mom's doctors, nurses, therapists and caregivers, and especially our brother Paul, in caring for her in her final years. We are deeply grateful to them.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at Ford Funeral Service on Monday, March 12. Services will be held at Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City on Tuesday, March 13, at 2 p.m.  Interment Sunnylane Cemetery.
