                            Wilmina Kate (Finney) Maschino
1927 / 2007

Wilmina Kate Maschino, age 79, died Thursday, February 22, 2007. She was born November 14, 1927 in Chivington, CO to William and Mary (Daniels) Finney. She met and married her husband, Edward Maschino in 1951 and moved to OKC. She has lived in Mustang since 1972. She was active in various organizations including the Senior Citizens Center, TOPS and the Red Hat Society. She was founder of the Mustang HUGS project providing cooling ties for the soldiers in Iraq. She was also a member of the JOY Group at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She loved knitting, beadery and crocheting and was an avid gardener. Wilma was a true inspiration, courageously fighting cancer four different times throughout her life while continuing to lovingly care for her family and actively pursuing her hobbies and travels.

Survivors include her husband, Ed, of the home, three sons Steve Maschino and wife Tamara of Seabrook, TX, Alan Maschino of Yukon, and David Maschino and wife Tammy of Edmond, OK. She is also survived by one brother Robert Finney and wife Peggy of Oceanside, CA, and three grandchildren Chad, John and Katie.

 She was preceded in death by her son William Michael. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Spirit Church Building Fund, 1100 N. Sara Rd., Mustang, OK. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Monday, February 26, 2007 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Mustang, OK with interment following at Rose Hill Burial Park, OKC under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service.
