Elizabeth Ann Crompton , 75, of OKC, went to be with our Lord Oct. 29, 2009. Betty Ann was born Oct. 28, 1934 to Robert and Margaret (Perion) Crompton in Ipswich, S.D. As a young woman, she taught 7 children in a one- room school house.

She married James L. Biegler on Oct. 13, 1953 and served as an officer's wife in the U.S. Marine Corps. Military life kept her packing as the family, which grew to 7, moved to 10 different states, including a tour in Hawaii. She returned to S.D. in 1974 with the two youngest sons and then moved to OKC in 1984. She began a career in retail sales and retired from Dillards in 1996. She was a member of N.W. Baptist Church and loved to sing and fellowship with the Glory Gang.

She is survived by brother, Merlin Crompton; sister, Dorothy Wilcox; sons, James Biegler and wife Laura, Robert Biegler, Michael Biegler; daughters, Margaret (Margo) French, Susan Sweetser and husband Claude; 9 grandchildren & 3 great-grandchildren. Services are 2:00 p.m. Mon., Nov. 2, at Guardian West Funeral Home Chapel.
