Kenneth Owen Pixler, 89, of Midwest City, died March 29, 2009, in Midwest City. Born December 24, 1919, to Mary (Page) and Owen Pixler, in Hobart, Oklahoma. He grew up in Elk City, Oklahoma and graduated from high school there. He proudly served in the 45th Division during World War II. After his military service, he graduated from Southwestern State University in Weatherford. He worked in the reproduction department at Tinker Air Force Base retiring in 1975. He was an avid bowler at Planet Bowl and a member of the American Legion in Midwest City. He lived with and was lovingly cared for by his daughter, Kathy, of Oklahoma City the last several years.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 48 years, Betty, son, Nicky, brother, Lloyd Pixler, several half brothers and a half sister. He is survived by sons, Randy of Cleveland TN and Dennis of Oklahoma City and daughter, Kathy White of Oklahoma City, grandson, William Bunts of Oklahoma City, great granddaughter, Kate Bunts of Midwest City, and sisters, June Kauk of Sayre and Dorothy Marshall of Catoosa.

Funeral service will be on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at 1:00 PM, at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home with interment following at Kolb Cemetery.
