Roy Ernest Gleason, passed away on September 9, 2010 at the age of 84. He was born March 19, 1926 to Ralph and Lucy Gleason in Madill, OK.

He was a kind, loving, caring dad and devoted husband. He was a natural born leader that believed in God, family and friends. He served his country proudly in the US Army during WW II. On June 1, 1946 he married Ada Marie Chaffin. In 1959 he started Suburban Cabinet Shop and remained in business until he retired in 1980. He was a member of Nicoma Park Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and had been President of the 39ers. He served as the Kiwanis Lt. Governor for the State of OK for one year. He loved to hunt and fish or participate in any activity that was related to the outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joy Gleason; and a granddaughter, Madison McAlister.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Ada Gleason; two daughters and sons-in-law: Patsy & Tip Hale of Choctaw, Sharon & Charles McAlister of Jones; one brother, Melvin Gleason; three sisters: Edna Hilterbran, Dovie Meyers and Elaine Eck; five grandchildren: Chad McAlister, Martie Lilly, Carrie Lowe, Brian and Brent Hale; 15 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Monday, September 13, 2010, at the Nicoma Park Baptist Church, with burial at the Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
