Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Oklahoma City for Ardmore native George C. Day, 64, at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel. Interment followed in Kolb Cemetery.

Day was born Feb. 4, 1935, in Ardmore. He died March 26, 1999.

Day served 25 years as an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper and 14 years with the Department of Weights and Measures. He and his wife, the former Susan Elaine Still, lived in Midwest City.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Cynthia Lynn Thompson, Little Rock, Ark., Jennifer E. Day, Midwest City and George J. Day, Oklahoma City; three sisters, Lorene Jennings, Ardmore, Nona Buck, Grand Prairie, Texas, Ruby Smith of Moore; one brother, Thad Day Jr., Ardmore and four grandchildren.
His parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
