Gladys Clark age 87 of Purcell went to be with her Lord & Savior on Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at her residence. She was joyfully reunited with her parents & daughter, Verdina.

Gladys was born January 3, 1916 in Okla. City the oldest of 3 children born to Harry David Mace & Ruby Mae Cartwright. She grew up in South Okla. City & graduated from Capitol Hill H.S. in 1934. She later met a young man from Lexington, Cecil Merle Clark & they were married February 3, 1935 in El Reno. They moved to Purcell in 1950. She was a lifetime member of the Mineliyi Mothers Club in Purcell from 1950 until 1992. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Purcell and enjoyed sewing, cooking & gardening. She will be remembered as a loving wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She was preceded in death by: Parents: Harry & Ruby Mace; 1 Daughter: Verdina Camille Clark; 1 Brother: Harry Allen Mace; 1 Sister: Nelle Ivy. She is survived by: Husband: Cecil of the home; 1 Son: Merle & Suzanne Clark of Purcell; 2 Daughters: Clata Marie & Jerry Simeroth of Purcell, Peggy Jean Clark of Edmond; 7 Grandchildren: Phil Clark, Leigh Anne McGregor, Paul Clark, Randy Simeroth & wife Sandy, Tony Simeroth, Jason Simeroth & wife Julie, Robin Hankins & husband Vern; 7 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister-In-Law: Virginia Mace of Okla. City; 2 Nephews and many other loving relatives.

Funeral services will be 9:30 A.M. Saturday, August 23, 2003 at Wilson Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell with Dr. Patrick Mead officiating. Eulogist will be Jason Simeroth. Burial will be at Sunnylane Cemetery in Del City. Pallbearers will be Grandchildren: Phil Clark, Paul Clark, Randy Simeroth, Tony Simeroth, Jason Simeroth, Leigh Ann McGregor & Robin Hankins. Honorary bearers will be Mineliyi Mothers Club, Jimmy Hayes & Don Price.
