Virginia Mae Vinyard, 73, of Choctaw, Oklahoma died Saturday, March 14, 2009 surrounded by loved ones. She was born Nov. 3, 1935 to Luther and Lucille Hopkins in Camargo, OK. She retired from TAFB civilian service in 1990 after 22-1/2 years of employment. Her hobbies included taking her grandchildren fishing, quilting, cooking, and crafts.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Vinyard; and 2 sons, Philip and Terry Vinyard.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Pamela Tyra and husband Rick; brother, Dewey Hopkins and wife Jane; sister, Evelyn Deibert and husband Jim; grandchildren, Rick Tyra II and wife Sonya, Rodney Tyra and wife Melissa, Justin, Derek, and their mother, Deborah Vinyard; Cody and Jesse Vinyard, and their mother, Peggy Routh and husband David; and 3 great-grandchildren, Macy, Cole, and Tanner Tyra.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 19, 2009, at the funeral home chapel, with interment following at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw, OK
