J. Frank Romero, 77, passed away 6/28/2009 at the Veterans Center in Norman, OK. He was born on 5/16/1932 in Taos, NM. Frank was raised in Denver, CO by the Sisters of Charity at the St. Vincent's Home and the Christian Brothers of Mullen, where he went to High School and excelled in many sports. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard. Frank retired from Tinker AFB in 1993. He was a faithful member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for over forty years.

Frank is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alma Romero; 3 children: Diane Romero Singerman, Laura Clark and husband Dave, and Mark Romero and wife Lori; 11 grandchildren: Mona, Nick, Justin, Ashley, Roxanne, D'Anthony, Veronica, Marie, Miles, Shane, and Vincent; and many other family and friends. He was a friend of Bill W. for over 30 years.

A Rosary Service will be held at 7PM Wed. 7/1/2009 at St. Francis of Assisi, 1901 NW 18th, OKC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am Thurs. 7/2/2009 at St. Francis, and burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff of the Veterans Center for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Veterans Center in Norman.
