Myron Calvin Roberts

ROBERTS Myron Calvin, age 62, Edmond resident since 1965, passed away Jan. 11 at Baptist Medical Center. He was born March 18, 1926 at Burbank, Ok. to John and Vina Roberts. Myron had worked as a truck driver for 38 years. He was a member of the Edmond Post of the VFW, the Ex-POW's, Teamsters Local 886 and the retired Road Runners of OKC. He had served in the US Army during WWII in the Rainbow Division, 242nd Infantry Regiment, Company A, and had been a German prisoner of war. He married the former Mary Eldridge at Edmond on April 17, 1971. 

Myron was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Ernest Roberts. 

Survivors include his wife, Mary Roberts of the home; 5 sons, Myron Roberts Jr. of Athens, Tx., Richard Roberts of DeSoto, Tx., Leroy Robert s of Kimball, Ne., Ronald Roberts and Larry Roberts, both of Edmond; 2 step daughters, Cindy Perry of Edmond and Vicki Cudd of OKC; 2 brothers, Kenneth Roberts of Shawnee and Glen Roberts of Enid; 3 sisters, Violet Turner, Irene Barnes and Juanita Roberts, all of Enid; 12 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren. 

Funeral services are scheduled for 2pm Friday, at the Baggerley Primrose Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
