Harry Warren Pantry stepped into the presence of the Lord on February 21, 2009 at the age of 86. He was born to Harry and Anna Pantry on December 6, 1922 in Sapulpa , Oklahoma. Warren was a kind and gentle man who loved the Lord and was a servant to others. He attended church at Capitol Hill Church of God, where he met Betty Lou Scott, and then later in life, they attended Shartel Church of God for many years. At the outbreak of World War II, Dad was working at a Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp in Wyoming when he returned home to join the Navy. After his enlistment, he was assigned to help establish and make operational the north Navy Base in Norman. From there he was sent to the Philippines and the Asian Pacific area until the end of the war. He returned home, where he married the love of his life, Betty, on February 18, 1946. They lived in southwest Oklahoma City and raised their two daughters, Nancy & Carol. He served the Lord and helped those in need.

Warren retired from Tinker AFB in 1975 and continued to be active, helping remodel his girls' homes, served in the church wherever needed and worked on church construction projects. He also spent many summers at church youth camps in Bristow ministering to others. Warren was a humble man who loved his family and was always there for them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Wayne, grandson David Waddell, son-in-law Stephen Summy, and his wife of 58 years, Betty.

Survivors include daughter Nancy and husband Roger Waddell, daughter Carol and husband Roy Bailey, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and sisters Freeda Woolman of Oklahoma City and Rebecca Montenegro of California.

Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice. Services to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, 10:00 AM at the South Colonial Chapel of Vondel Smith Mortuary. Viewing will be 4-8 PM today and the family will receive friends 5-7 PM this evening at the funeral home.

Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens.
