Leila Jackson Klepzig, born in Clinton, Ky. Oct. 14, 1906 to Richard Andrew Jackson and Leila Johnson Jackson, passed away July 6, 1994. Leila's father, a practicing attorney and a Katy Railroad claim adjustor, lived in Summerset, Ky. about 2 years, moving the family to Muskogee, Ok. for about 3 years then to Okla. City, where Leila attended the following public schools at Emerson, Webster Jr. High, Irving and Central High School, graduating in 1925. She attended OCU from 1925 to 1929, receiving her BA Degree in Education and later in her teaching career her Masters Degree from OU. Her teaching career of almost 40 years was dedicated to the following schools, Jefferson Davis; substituting, Elmore City; Crooked Oak; California for one year and at Shields Hts in OKC. She retired in 1972.

Leila is survived by her caring husband, Carl F.R. Klepzig ; cousins, Ann, Vince and Walter Pennington of Danville, Ky. and Maria Jane and John B. Watts of Hickman, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard A. Jackson, Jr. She was a member of Amigo Chapter 451 Order of Eastern Star; NRTA Division of the AARP; Okla. Retired Teacher Association; and also involved with the arts and teaching phonics. She leaves a host of ex-students, patrons and many, many friends. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 1994 at Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorial remembrances may be made to the charity of choice.

Carl F.R. Klepzig, 90, died Wednesday. Graveside services 1 p.m. Friday, Fairlawn Cemetery (Guardian Midtown).
