CLARK Maurice, 77, of Choctaw, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 1998, at his home. He was born May 3, 1921 in Mill Creek, 0K to Clifford C. & Samantha (Harris) Clark. He was a Deputy Sheriff at Weatherford before moving to Midwest City. He was a retired Midwest City Police Captain, and was with the Midwest City Police Dept. from May 19, 1953 until Aug. 31, 1976. He had a total of 30 years service, He graduated from Southwestern College, Weatherford. He was a Navy Veteran & a member of the DAV, American Legion, Sheriffs & Police Officers.

Survived by his wife, Mary of the home; 2 sons, John McClain of Choctaw, Tony & wife, Carla McClain of Shawnee; daughter, Jeanne & husband, Alan Stephens of OKC; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie Robinson, Amber McClain, Ashley McClain, Stasia Stephens, Amanda Stephens & Ashley Stephens; great grandson, James Bradlee Clark Robinson; 4 brothers, Leslie & wife Audra Clark of CA, Don & Betty Clark of Mill Creek, Doak & wife JoAnn Clark of Mill Creek & Milton Clark of GA; 1 sister, Evelyn Gayle of Durant; 2 sisters-in-law, Bonnie Clark of Mill Creek & Dillah Clark of Norman.

Graveside services will be Friday, August 7, 1998, at 2:00 PM, Sunny Lane Cemetery. Directed by Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home, Midwest City, OK.
