Okfuskee County Look-up Volunteers

If you own any reference material from which you could do look-ups or if you are able to do any on-site work in Okfuskee County or at a reference library, please volunteer by contacting the County Coordinator!

Mrs. Shirley Custar will do look-ups from her books (see reference list). Her email address is:

Mr. Carl Jackson has also generously volunteered to do look-ups. Carl lives in Okemah, has access to Shirley Custar's books, and has also surveyed some of the Okfuskee County cemeteries. His email address is:

Mrs. Eulala Pegram has the J. B. Campbell's Abstract of Creek Indian Census Cards and Index and has graciously volunteered to do look-ups from that book. Campbell's is an index to names of Creek Citizens and Freedmen based on Dawes Census cards. If your ancestors were members of the Creek Nation between 1890 to 1900 it is possible they will be included in the Index. Information which may be available include names and ages of parents and siblings, location, and citizen's roll numbers. Persons not affiliated with the Creek Nation will NOT be included in this Index. Contact her by email at:
