The Richmond Social Club met Tues., Feb. 3. The meeting was called to order by the vice president, Mrs. Ralph Craighead, in the absence of the president, Mrs. Elvin Meigs. Viola Deweese gave the devotional through the courtesy of Lowa Russel We hosted the club together in their home. I wish you could see that old house made over. It is beautiful. Could not be duplicated and outside to the garage a new one. Roll call was answered by clippings or any news we wished. Ardelia Stevens, absent: Grace Meigs, clipping, greenbugs farmer's s pest; Oral Smart, passed a bowl for inspection-heart blessings; Doris Wellborn, gave each of us pictures; Ethel Leachman, present; Guyla Bowers, sign on bulletin board; Roberta Craighead, cooking a husband through love; Edna Gammon, present; Edna Ritterhouse, absent (all love so much. God bless you Edna); Bella Meigs, absent; Ruth Haigis, absent; Esther Rapp, talk on Joe Feney from Lawrence Welk Show; Lillie Murray, absent (all love her so much. God bless you and family); Viola De weese, Rex Humbard around the world.

The afternoon was spent in playing cards. Just a fun time. Now it is serving time. Bread, doughnuts, jello salad, tiny sweet pickles, olives, and assorted nuts, tea and coffee.
Recipe for salad made by Hostess Mrs. Alva Russell.
one package orange jello
1 cup sour cream
1 can mandrian oranges
1 cup cottage cheese
Dissolve jello in the sour cream and add other ingredients. Stir well and chill.
Get bacon thins, crackers and spread this salad on one and put a slice of olive on it. The green olive with the red pepper stuffing. Yum Yum good and pretty.

The afternoon was spent in playing cards. Just a fun time.

Meeting was closed by the Lord’s Prayer in unison, led by hostess Mrs. Alva Russell. Adjournment to meet with Mrs. Ralph Craighead March 2. C.U. there.

Joan Taylor underwent surgery Saturday morning at the Mooreland hospital. Dr. Boone physician.

Colds, soar throats, back, legs, feet and ankle trouble all feeling better. Goodie for us.

6 million cubit feet oil well. Jake Alkire and mother, who is in the Christian Nursing Home, Tonkawa. Isn’t that great. Moving the oil rig.

Snow and sleet came our way. Wheat lifted its head, said “Now I live.”
