Mrs Annie B. Mellor, wife of J. W. Mellor, died at their home northeast of town Saturday night. Mrs Mellor had been a patient sufferer for over a year, but up to a few hours of her death her malady was not thought to be serious, but Saturday after noon she grew worse and death claimed her that night. Mrs Mellor was a member of the Christain church and an ardent worker in His cause. Funeral services were held in the church Monday morning, conducted by Rev. Moseley, and the body was laid in the Quinlan cemetery followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all in their affliction.

Mrs W.B. Tipton returned from Woodward Sunday, where she was called by the serious illness of her brother-in-law, John Kirk, who died last Friday morning. Mr Kirk was well known to most of our readers, having been in the county since the opening. He leaves a wife and three children and a large circle of friends to mourn his early death. The sympathy of all is extended to the stricken family in their dark hour.
