October 11, 1906

W. B. Tipton received the sad intelligence Tuesday evening that his sister, Mrs Bessie A. Stoddard, had died in Trinidad, Cob., after a short illness. She leaves a husband and young baby, her father, mother, two sisters and three brothers, besides a large circle of friends to mourn her untimely death.

October 18, 1906

Everett Killough and Miss Barnett were married Wednesday of last week, and will make their home for the present on the Killough farm, north east of town.

October 25, 1906

A 10 pound baby girl took up her residence with Mr and Mrs Arthur Downing this week, Dr. Patterson in attendance. He reports all doing nicely.

November 15, 1906

A nine pound boy was born to Mr and Mrs James Hall this week Dr Patterson in attendance.

November 29,1906

Mrs Robert Todd died at Alva, Friday Nov. 16, and was buried the following Sunday in the Alva cemetery. Mary Todd was the mother of Mrs J. W. Kee, of this city, and had many friends here who will mourn her death.

December 13, 1906

A son was born to Mr and Mrs J.C. Hutchinson last week. All are doing nicely.

A little boy came to brighten the home of L. J. Holmes and wife Nov. 30. The little fellow is of regulation weight and is getting along fine.

County Attorney Willett has drawn information charging Harrison White and Mary Smith with the murder of Edward Smith, at his farm west of Palace on the 2nd. Mrs. Smith has made full acknowledgment of the fact that White committed the murder and that she possessed the knowledge that he was going to kill Smith before the deed was done.

January 3, 1907

At noon on Christmas day, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs C. W. Mullins near Belva, Rev. McKinney of Woodward, in a very pretty ceremony united the lives of two of Quinlan's most popular young people, John A. Gardner and Miss Mary Elizabeth Mullins. It was a quiet wedding, only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties being present.
