THE QUINLAN MIRROR

The Quinlan Mirror Prints every Thursday by Editor w. B. Tipton
September 6, 1906

A pretty home wedding was witnessed at the home of the brides parents, Mr and Mrs D. H. Mitchell. 802 B. Maple St., Enid, Okla., on Sunday, August 26, 1906 at 6 o'clock when their eldest daughter, Miss Bertha, and Mr J. A. Lewis, of this city, were united by the Holy bonds of matrimony. None were present except their relatives, and a few very intimate friends, when Rev. R.E. Barnes spoke the necessary words which made them one. Miss Alice Duncan as Maid while Mr. McQuilkin served as Best man. The brides suit of cream silk Mull was trimmed in Val lace and cream ribbon, decked with a large bunch of white roses. After congratulations, a two course luncheon was served of Ices and cakes and secondly fruits were served. The contracting parties are two well and favorable known to make special mention, however we can not pass this lightly. The bride, we are proud to say, grew to woman hood in our and is an accomplished young lady of christian character and worthy of the man who has one her as a companion. The groom, familiarly called "Joe" is a young man of sterling qualities and holds a good position with the firm of Washburn & Sanders of this place. After spending a few days with Mr Lewis' parents at Alva, they returned to Quinlan; where they began housekeeping. The Mirror simply expresses the communities voice when it wishes them a pleasant voyage on the Matrimonial sea.
