SCHULTZ ROBY C., 64, of 1126 W St. Andrews Place, Santa Ana, passed away Sept. 28, 1973. Survived by wife, Dorothy Schultz, of the home; two sons, Richard D. Parker of Avery, Idaho, and Ronald M. Parker, of Santla Ana; one daughter, Dorothy Walling, of Mooreland, Okla.; twelve grand children; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, and five sisters. Mr. Schultz served with the Flying Tigers from 1942-1945, under Gen. Chenault in the China-Burma-lndia theater. He was a member of Carpenter's Union No. 1815, Santa Ana. Services will be held Wednesday, 10:30 a. m. in BROWN COLONIAL CHAPEL, Dr. Gerald S. Bash officiating. Entombment will take place in Melrose Abey Mausoleum.
WOODWARD, Sept. 10—(Special) —The death in action in Sicily of Pvt. Elmer L. Bird, 22, of Mooreland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Bird, is announced. Also, he was the nephew of three Woodward women, Mrs. Clara Forbes, Mrs. J. W. Kropf and Mrs. Russell Parsons. He had been in the army for the past three years and participated in the Tunisian campaign. One brother, a marine, died in the service 11 years ago, and two brothers are in the service now.>
WOODWARD, Aug. 24-- (Special) Mrs. W. T. Howell of this city, who until a year ago lived in Taloga, has heard by postcard from her son, Lieut. William T. Howell, that he is a prisoner of the Japs, presumably - in the Philippines. This was her first notice from him in a year. He was stationed at Fort Stotenbury in the Philippines the last record she had. The card information said he is uninjured and in good health.
