A very pretty house wedding took place at the residence of Mr and Mrs T. L. Whitworth, five miles northwest of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Wednesday afternoon, June 24, 1908; Rev Ellis officiating. The bride was formerly book keeper for her brother, J.R. Whitworth, while engaged in the mercantile business at Curtis. She was one of our most accomplished young ladies and loved and respected by all who knew her. The groom, William C. Hall, is a prominent young business man of Kimberly, Idaho, who has for some time been engaged in the lumber trade. The guests form out of town were as follows: Mrs Will Logue of Cordell, Okla., Mrs F.E. Finley and children of Raton, New Mexico, Mr and Mrs F.F. Logue of Cordell, Okla., Mrs Kelsey and son of Newkirk, Okla., Mr and Mrs John Dealy of LaPorte, Colorado, Mrs Bacher of Newkirk, Okla. The marriage ceremony was performed at 4 oclock, after which the guests repaired to the dining room, where a sumptuous dinner was served. Mr and Mrs Hall left immediately for their new home in Idaho. Many costly and beautiful presents were presented to the young couple, and the best wishes of all attended them, for a happy and prosperous life.
George Hotz Jr., was married to Miss Grace Stinnett in this city last night. The contracting parties are well and favorable known in this community and have the best wishes of all their acquaintances for future happiness and prosperity. May the popular young couple always see silver lining to the clouds is the wish of the Courier.
Another son was born to Mr and Mrs Sam CaIdwell, Tuesday night.
Word was received here that Mrs Earnest Monford died at St Lukes Hospital, Denver, Colorado, June 26, after an illness of five months. She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, one daughter and three sons, who now reside at Hugo, Col., but formerly lived south of Curtis. We extend to husband and children our sincerest sympathy.
Job Pollard and Miss Allen were married Sunday. Mr Pollard is well known and respected by all. The bride is a very popular lady. They have the best wishes of all.
Job Pollard, the friend of everybody, surprised his many friends, Sunday, by leading to the matrimonial alter Miss Helen Allen of Shattuck. The ceremony occurred in the Christian Church in Woodward on that day and the happy couple returned to this city, Monday, since which time they have been busy receiving congratulation of friends.
