THE CURTIS COURIER

March 19, 1908 J. M. Van Gieson and wife returned last week from Wichita, where they took their little son to a hospital. Their many friends will be glad to know that the son is apparently as well as ever.

Word has reached us that David Conyers of Quinlan and Miss Nola Clift were married at the home of the bride’s parents in Higgins, Texas, on March 14th. Both have many friends in this county, where they formerl.y resided, who wish them a pleasant and long life.

A fine baby girl was born to A. L. Gray and wife, March 12. Baby and mother doing fine.

Mr and Mrs Will Lintner are the proud parents of a fine baby girl. All doing fine, especially Willie.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reid, recently, a bouncing boy. Fred is as happy as a lark.

Born to Mr and Mrs Harrison Ludden, recently a boy.

NOTICE OF PUBLICATION
Department of Interior Land Office at Woodward, Okla. March 3, 1908. Notice is hereby given that the following named settlers have filed notice of their intentions to make final five year proof in support of their claims and that said proof will be made before the Register and Receiver at Woodward, OkIa. on May 14, 1908, viz: WILLIAM PHYE of Curtis Oklahoma H. E. 14441, for the ne 4, nw4 and nw4, ne 4 sec 30 Twp 23 N of Range 18 W. He names the following settlers to prove his continuous residence upon and cultivation of said land, Viz: William Kiviehen, Frank A. White, Percy G. Davison and Petr J. Vogt, all of Curtis, OK

April 30, 1908
L. B. Lincoln and Miss Belle Buffington were married one day last week in Woodward. Their many Curtis friends extend congratulations.

The three months old son of Mr and Mrs 0. H. Wylie died Friday evening and was buried Saturday. The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved parents and it is hoped they will be strong enough to bear their burden.
