James Y. Callahan

James Y. Callahan was born in Dent County, Missouri, in 1852. He was reared on a farm and educated in the rural schools of his native state. He followed the calling of a farmer. In 1885, he moved to western Kansas, from where he came , in 1892, to what would become Kingfisher County, Oklahoma. While living in Kansas he served as register of deeds. He was later engaged in business in Enid, Oklahoma, where he died.
