Logan County Obituaries

Albert Pannill

1929, February 21 Thursday, The Minco Minstrel:

The body of A.G. Pannell, pioneering stockman and shipper, who died from burns Thursday of last week at a hospital in Oklahoma City, was taken to Kaufman, Texas for burial. Mr. Pannell for the last five years has operated in Logan county and was a frequent shipper to the Oklahoma City market. Before going to Oklahoma City he bought and sold live stock in Grady county and was well known by many of the people in Minco and vicinity. He was 70 years old at the time of his death and is survived by Mrs. Pannel and a son, Tommie, who was a speculator in Oklahoma City for several years. Mr. Pannell was lighting a gas stove in his room at a stock yards hotel in Oklahoma City when his clothes became ignited causing fatal burns.

The obituary was from Minco, but he was living in Logan county at the time. Note: They spell his name Pannell, but it's really Pannill. Albert was the great uncle of my grandmother.
