WILL

I, Mathew H. Harris, of LeFlore County, State of Oklahoma, being now in sufficiently good health to be able to travel, and being of sound mind, but sensible of the uncertainty of life, and desiring to make disposition of my property and affair while in health and strength of mind and body, do hereby make, publish and declare the following to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking and cancelling all other or former wills by me at any time made.

(1) I direct the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses.

(2) I give and bequeath to my wife, Elizabeth C. Harris One Third of all property of which I may be possessed of at the time of my death, both real and personal.

(3) I give to my son, R. P. Harris, the sum of One Dollar. He having failed to show the proper affection, love and consideration for me his father.

(4) To my grand-son, C. H. Baird, I give the sum of One Hundred Dollars.

(5) To my two grand-children, Lillie and Nellie Harris, I give them jointly a One Sixth interest in all the rest, residue and remainder of my property, less the sum of One Thousand dollars to be deducted for money and advances made by me to their father, my son, James Harris, during his life time.

(6) To my other children, namely Mattie Culberson, M. L. Harris, Armenta McGehee, W. L. Harris and Pearl Kenesson, I give and bequeath all of the rest, residue and remainder of my property both real and personal, share and share alike.

(7) I hereby appoint and designate my two sons, M. L. Harris and W. L. Harris as joint and sole executors of this my last will and testament.

In witness whereof, I, Mathew H. Harris, have to this my last will and testament consisting of one sheet of paper, subscribed my name this the first day of May, 1919.

Subscribed by Mathew H. Harris in the presence of each of us, the undersigned, and at the same time declared by him to us to be his last will and testament, and we, thereupon at the request of Mathew H. Harris in his presence and in the presence of each other, sign our names hereto as witnesses this 1st day of May, 1919.

Note: Mathew H. Harris died April 7, 1920, and his will submitted for probate on April 12, with the following persons listed as his heirs:
Elizabeth C. Harris, (widow), Poteau, Oklahoma, age 76 years.
R. P. Harris, (son) Eagleton, Arkansas, age 55 years.
Mattie Culberson, (daughter) Durant, Oklahoma, age 48 years.
M. L. Harris, (son) Wister, Oklahoma, age 46 years.
W. L. Harris, (son), Poteau, Oklahoma, age 39 years.
Armenta McGehee, (daughter) Mulberry, Arkansas, age 37 years.
Pearl Kenesson, (daughter) Woodsworth, Louisiana, age 30 years.
C. H. Baird, (grandson) residence unknown, age 25 years.
Lillie Harris, (granddaughter) LeFlore, Oklahoma, age 19 years.
Nellie Harris, (granddaughter) LeFlore, Oklahoma, age 16 years.
