Anita Arrington, 59, of Heavener, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2004. She was a resident of the area since 1993 and a member of the Heavener First Baptist Church. She was an RN in the emergency department at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center in Poteau.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ethan Newsom; and one grandson, Joshua Brewer.

Survivors include her husband Ron; one daughter, Sherry Summers and husband Scott of Orange County, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Sandy Morris and husband, Rich of Sandy, Utah; two sons, Ray Brewer and wife, Suzanne of Rio Rancho, N. M., and Robert Brewer and wife Maurcia of Whitefish, Mont.; her mother, June Newsom of Panola; one sister, Kathy Ivanoff of Wilburton; one brother, Steven Newsom of Wilburton; four nephews; three nieces; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 16 at the First Baptist Church of Heavener. Burial will follow in Lutie Cemetery at Wilburton under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
