George Thomas Harris, Sr.,
83, of Fanshawe, Okla, passed away July 28,
2009, in Fanshawe.
He was born June 11, 1926,
in Red Oak, Okla., to Lelan and Anna (Dameron)
Harris. He was an oilfield pumper and rancher.
He was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral service was held
Friday, July 3l, 2009, at Grace Manor Memorial
Chapel, in Poteau, Okla. under the direction of
Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. Burial at
Hicks Chapel Cemetery near Fanshawe.
He is survived by four
sons. Thomas Harris and wife Norma, of Wister,
Lee Harris and Martha, of Fanshawe; Larry Harris
and wife Brenda, of Red Oak; and Billy Joe
Harris, of Bull Hill; three daughters, Ann
Savage and husband Gene, of Red Oak, Shirley
Mosel and husband Richard, of Darwille, Va,
Susan Henderson and husband Mark. of Wichita
Falls, Texas; a brother Ted and Nola Harris, of
Fanshawe; three sisters, Betty June Kruseman, of
Castro Valley, Calif, Emma Lois Marler, of
Wister and Willa Lee Divine, of Wichita Falls,
Texas; ten grandchildren; I4
great-grandchildren; two great-great
grandchildren; as well as numerous other
friends, family members and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by
his parents; one son George Thomas Harris, Jr.;
one granddaughter, Jennifer Harris-Crase; two
brothers, Ira and Johnny Ray Harris.
