William Thomas Lewis, 82, of Spiro, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2003, at Fort Smith. He was born Aug. 21, 1920 at Braden.
He worked in construction.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters; one son; and one granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife Amanda of the home; four daughters, Ollie Jean Lewis, Freddie Ann Minner and Nadine Ruff, all of Fort Coffee and Peggy Louise Lewis of Tulsa; seven sons, E. Pluribus Lewis of Ada, Lonnie L. Lewis of Tulsa, Vernon Lewis and Dwayne Lewis, both of Fort Coffee, Ronnie Joe Lewis of McDonough, Ga., Jerry Lee Lewis of Collinsville and Rochelle Lewis of Bakersfield, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church at Fort Coffee with the Rev. Dennis Ruff officiating. Burial will follow in
Fort Coffee Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
