Jr. Knight, 72, of Summerfield, passed away Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002. He was born Feb. 23, 1930 at Checotah. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a lifelong resident of the Summerfield area where he was a farmer and a rancher. 

Survivors include his wife Alene of the home; one daughter, Mary Jack of Poteau; three sons, Jimmy Dale Knight of Summerfield, Willis Jean Knight of Oklahoma City and Sam Knight of Pittsburg; three sisters, Pat Essman of LeFlore, Imogene Solomon of Tulsa and Norma Smith of Fort Worth; one brother, Ron Knight of LeFlore; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Summerfield Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Cook officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
