Allie Jackson, 87 of Martell died following a stroke on Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at the Sunrise Care Center in Jackson (CA).

Mrs. Jackson was born on Feb 12, 1912, in Spiro, OK. She had been a resident of Amador County (CA) for 65 years. She enjoyed making crochet items, family members said.

She is survived by her son, Jimmie Jackson (my dad) of Jackson, daughters Marry Escamilla and Lorene Olivarria both of Jackson; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oble T. "Stonewall" Jackson and sons, Finley Jackson, Edward Jackson and Harold Jackson.

Additional information: My Grandmother's maiden name was WINCHESTER, her mother's maiden name was JONES and her grandmother's maiden name was DEWEESE. The family came to California during the Depression. The family prior to this relocation had been in LeFlore County since the early 1800's and are either buried in New Hope Cemetery in Spiro or in the Skullyville Indian Cemetery near Spiro. My Grandfather died in 1973.
