Columbus Green (Lum) Hood was born July 9, 1882 in Conway County, Arkansas, the son of William Barton Hood and Sylvania Caroline Slusher. 

He married Cora Catherine Cumming, October 30, 1904 in Conway County Arkansas, daughter of Ira Emerson (Richard) Cumming. She was born January 23, 1890 in Conway County, Arkansas, and died January 24, 1937 in Shady Point, LeFlore County, Oklahoma and is buried in the Shady Point Cemetery.

Columbus Green (Lum) Hood died August 1, 1947 in Shady Point, LeFlore County, Oklahoma and is buried in the Shady Point Cemetery. 

Their children: Dulcie Mae; Ivie Pearl; Aurbie Katherine; Lester Amos; Omer Chester; Leona; Johnnie Osburn; Carl; Ray London; Lorena; David, Jemmie.
