Audie Mae Harris, 77, of Spiro, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003. She was born July 5, 1925 at Stigler to George and Fonnie (Spear) Turner. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Harris; one daughter, Ellen Oxford; two brothers, Bud and Johnny Turner; and one great-grandson, Matthew Oxford.
Survivors include four daughters, Audie Brown and husband Dale of Harrah, Judy West and husband Sam of Norman, Kathy Orstad and husband Ron of Cook, S.D. and Janie Brown and husband Ralph of Fort Smith; two sons, Ernest Harris and wife Virginia of Spiro and Jesse Harris of Fort Smith; two brothers, Norman Turner of Greenwood, Ark. and Steven Turner of Fort Smith; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4 at the Christian Grove Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Waldrop and Larry Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Star Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
