Peggy Gustafson, 59, of Panama, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, in Poteau. She was born July 13, 1943 in Fort Smith, Ark. She was retired from Baldor Electric Company after 23 years of service. She loved helping raise her grandchildren and she was a much loved mother and grandmother. She loved to fish, travel and watch her grandchildren's school activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mel and Lona Mae Harold.
Survivors include her husband Walter Gustafson of the home; four children, Tim and wife Mari Tucker of Yukon, Christina and husband Tracy Johnston of Barling, Ark., Teresa and husband Randy Thompson of Panama and Zollen and wife Darlyn Tucker of Cheyenne, Wyo.; seven grandchildren, Michael Tucker, Ashley Thompson, Michylea Tucker, Zollen Tucker III, Shyla Tucker, Clinton Thompson and Alexana Thompson; two sisters, Judy Williams of Pocola and Robin Fagan of Fayetteville; one brother, Bill Smith of Lowell, Ark.; one uncle, J.T. Brookes of Cameron; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
The family will be at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Burial will follow in
New Hope Cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Smith, Junior Saulsberry, Larry Spearman, Todd Stacy, Rick Anderson and Chris Anderson.
