Mrs. William Guempelein, a former resident of Peru, died at her home in Talihni, Okla., following a two months' illness of heart trouble, according to word received here over the weekend.

Mrs. Guempelein, who left Peru 21 years ago, was 74 years of age, having been born on July 5, 1864, in Hamburg, Germany. She was a member of the Maccabee lodge in Peru.

Survivors include three children, Harry Greiner, Peru, by a previous marriage; Mrs. Henry Bracken, of Wisconsin and Mrs. William Freiheit, of Minnesota.

Funeral services and interment will be in Siren, Wis., probably Wednesday.
