Funeral services were held for Mrs. Willie May Goines at 1:30 p.m. at the McConnell Memorial Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas, on Wednesday, February 16, 1972. Mrs. Goines passed away Friday, February 11, 1972, in Covina, California.
She was born July 27, 1900, in Hackett, Sebastian County, Arkansas, the daughter of William C. and Lucy (Schouweiler) Martin.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Sherman Willis Goines.
She is survived by one daughter, Reba May Bonner, of California; four sons, Ernie Watson Goines and Kenneth Goines of California, Edgar Goines of Cameron, Oklahoma, and Daris Leon Goines of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were Kenneth E. Goines, Sherman Goines, Edward Goines, Robert Goines, Carlos Bonner, Larry Goines, and Wayne Goines.
Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery, Sebastian County, Arkansas, with Reverend Clifford Myers officiating.
McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood, Arkansas, was in charge of arrangements.
