Sue Rolle Gilham, 95, of Vinita, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2002. She was born Nov. 10, 1906 at Sentinel to James and Betty Ann (Harrison) Simmons. Sue moved to Vinita 15 years ago from Oklahoma City and had also lived in Poteau for many years. She was a retired school teacher, set up the library at CASC, was a member of the Presbyterian Church serving as Sunday School teacher and supervisor, was choir member many years at Poteau and Vinita, a member of the Delphi Study Club in Vinita and a member of the Poteau Music Club.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Dr. Paul Neeson Rolle, M.D. and A.L. (Hap) Gilham; her parents; two sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include one son, David Simmons Rolle; one daughter, Suzanne Rolle Cresap, both of Vinita; two stepdaughters, Alice Woychuck of St. Louis, Mo. and Marie Jones of Arnold, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 12 at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau with her grandson Jim Woychuck officiating, under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
