Ada G. Farris
POCOLA - Ada G. Farris, 88, of Pocola, formerly of Fort Smith, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, in Pocola. She was a homemaker and a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church. She was the widow of S.T. Farris.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by two sons, John of Pocola and Huey of Branson, Mo.; two sisters, Lucilla Jean of Yuba City, Calif., and Mildred Newton of Lake Village; two brothers, Bob Cherry of Fort Smith and Frank Cherry of Havana; nine grandchildren, Terri Staley of Tahlequah, Okla., Tim Farris of Phoenix, Tammy Womack of Norman, Okla., Brian Farris of LeFlore, Okla., Cheryl Rothschild and Jeff Farris, both of Pocola, David and Derek Farris, both of Wichita, Kan., and Sara Schaeffer of Oak Grove, Mo.; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brian, Jeff, David and Derek Farris, Aaron Rothschild and Dex Womack.
The family will visit with friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
