Loyd E. Davis, 85, of Poteau, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002. He was born March 17, 1917 at Page. He worked as a carpenter and in the shipyard. He was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Davis; and one son, Harold Davis.
Survivors include one daughter, Imojean Cooper of Poteau; one daughter-in-law, Louise Davis of Casa Grande, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Sharon Thompson of San Bernardino, Calif., Larry Davis and Nancy Tucker, both of Casa Grande and Jeanie Crabtree of Poteau; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Simon Davis of Gilmore, Texas and Arlie Davis of White House, Texas; one sister, Reba Bond of Big Sandy, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13 at Blackfork Cemetery in the Blackfork community with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
