Frank James Crims, 88, of Talihina, passed away Monday, June 17, 2002. He was born March 23, 1914 in LeFlore to Jim Crims and Nancy Freeman-Crims. In 1940 he married his wife of 57 years, Elsie Fry at Mena, Ark. He was a wonderful father and a good man. He attended First Baptist Church and was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 762 in Pacifica, Calif.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Allison R. Crims and Patsy Ripley of Saint Helen, Calif.; two sisters, Dollie and John Gwin of Talihina and Molly Gravitt of Talihina; three grandchildren, Allison Ripley II, Karie Parenti and Suzanne Ripley; four great-grandchildren, Brandon Parenti, Ashley Parenti, Jordan Dixon Ripley and Wesley James Ripley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and four brothers, George, William, Fred and Floyd.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 20 at the Talihina First Baptist Church with the Rev. Chuck Schilling officiating. Burial will follow at the
Old Talihina Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
