Dea Cobb, 87, of Howe, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2002, in Poteau. He was a lifelong resident of the area, member, deacon, and Sunday School teacher of the Mt. View Baptist Church. He was a retired motor grade operator from the LeFlore County Highway Department No. 2 after 43 years of service.

He was preceded in death by one son, David; his parents; five brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife Opal of the home; three daughters, Doris Vaughn of Heavener, Mary Cobb and DeeAnna Helman Dollar, both of Howe; seven grandchildren; five step grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nine step great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 5 at Mt. View Baptist Church in the Glendale community. Burial will follow in Howe Cemetery under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
