Charles William Clouse, 73, of Shady Point, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2001. He was born Aug. 9, 1928 at Pitcher to Roy Cleo and Gladys Faye Bailey Clouse. He was a member of the Baptist faith, a retired LeFlore County District No. 1 County
Commissioner and raced cars (The Fort Smith Racing Association back in the mid 1960s).
He was preceded in death by two infant brothers; and the mother of his children, Beatrice Rebecca Clouse.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Harper of Spiro; one son, Charles "Pete" Clouse Jr. and wife Shirley of Panama; three sisters, JoAnn Harvey of Shady Point, Louise Fraizer of Midland, Ark. and Becky Marshall of Spiro; three brothers, Buford Clouse of Utah, Norman Clouse of Rock Springs, Wyo. and Melvin Clouse of Spiro; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23 at Shady Point Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Clark, George Clark, Bradley Clouse, David Clouse and Richard Clouse.
