John "Harold" Brown, 91, of Poteau, passed away Friday, May 31, 2002. He was born March 15, 1911. He was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harve and Lucy (Moore) Taylor; seven sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include his wife Wilma of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Jon A. and Patricia Brown of Dallas; one stepson, Don Ed Self of Poteau; four granddaughters and their husbands, Carolyn and Bobby Page, Nancy Brown, Amy and Kelley Howard, Rachel and Khazem Khazem; two grandsons and their wives, Neal and Carole Brown and David and Janice Brown; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 3 at First Christian Church of Poteau. Burial followed at Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers were John Dunning, Jerry Dunning, Gary Don West, Larry Lucas, Lloyd Ivy and George Ollie Jr.
