Jim Brown

HEAVENER — Jim C. Brown, 53, of Heavener died Saturday, March 4, 2000 in Fort Smith. He was a former resident of Denton, Texas, a veteran of the Vietnam era, a member of the American Legion and Elks Lodge in Denton, Texas and was of the Baptist faith. He was formerly active on the rodeo circuit and enjoyed horseback riding.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in DeBerry Funeral Home Chapel in Denton, Texas with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Denton, Texas under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; three daughters, Amy and Andrea Brown both of Denton, Texas and Kari Kleeb of Aubrey, Texas; one son, Bobby Sims of Denton, Texas; his father and step-mother, W.D. and Laverne Brown of Denton, Texas; one sister, Kathy Edwards of Gainesville, Texas; and four grandchildren, Brittany and Carl Kleeb and Hailey and Blaine Sims.
