Marie Box, 82, of Poteau, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at Yale. She was born Dec. 6, 1919 at Wister. She was a member of the Poteau First Church of the Nazarene and a retired teacher.
Survivors include her husband, W.C. Box of the home; one daughter, Karen Boozman of Arkoma; one son, Larry Box of Glencoe; two sisters, Opal Morgan and Lois Mitchell, both of Poteau; four grandchildren; numerous other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Richard Dickinson officiating. Burial will follow at
Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Jim Marsh, Charlie Brese, Marvin Tucker, James Durham, John Boevers and Louis Gill.
